Mulberry Farm

Bed and Breakfast, Mulberry Farm , Elmswell, Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk

Mulberry Farm B&B has been established for over ten years and throughout this period extremely high standards have been maintained - Mulberry Farm is an excellent example of a Suffolk longhouse complete with exposed beams and inglenook fireplace.

Mulberry Farm has the Enjoy England 4 stars for guest accommodation with a Gold Award. The Enjoy England Quality Rose reassures you before you check into your holiday accommodation that it will be just what you want, because it’s been inspected by independent assessors covering all aspects of our bed and breakfast services.

Mulberry Farm was owned by the BBC in the early 1980s and was used as a primary location for the first series of Lovejoy. Ian McShane's cottage and workshop were filmed here.

The property dates back to the 16th century and was originally one of the tenant farms belonging to the Manor of St.Edmundsbury. We have a registered smallholding where small numbers of animals are reared, providing fresh produce for our famous breakfasts

Mulberry Farm is located half a mile from the centre of Elmswell in a peaceful location. The village has a railway station on the Ipswich / Bury St Edmunds / Cambridge/ Peterborough lines connecting with two main line London stations. The farm is approximately 1 ¼ mls. from the A14, under an hour from both Norwich and Cambridge, 30 minutes from the centre of Newmarket and 10 minutes from Bury St Edmunds.

Mulberry Farm  is a good “jumping off” point for both the unspoilt Suffolk coastline and the beautiful medieval small towns like Bury St Edmunds, Lavenham  Long Melford with their wealth of fine churches, timber framed buildings and antique shops.

We look forward to your enquiries and hopefully to welcoming you to Mulberry Farm
